Solder LED wire
Measure 95mm of a JST-PH 3P plug wire and solder to the pins on the QT Py.
Mount QT Py to holder
Align the board to the printed holder. Insert the QT Py board at an angle, with the STEMMA QT port first, into the printed holder. Gently press on the USB port to attach the board to the holder.
Pre-drill two M2.5x5mm screws to the holder to fasten to the case.
Rotary STEMMA
Attach the 100mm STEMMA QT cable to one of the ports on the rotary encoder and a 50mm STEMMA QT cable to the other port.
Align and pass the rotary shaft through the cutout on the case. Use the included washer and nut to secure the rotary switch shaft to the case.
Fasten QT Py holder
Align the USB port to the cutout on the case. Fasten the screws to the case.
Plug the short 50mm STEMMA QT cable to the QT Py port.
LED wires
Cut a low density LED strip down to six pixels long.
Measure and cut a JST-PH 3P socket wire 45mm long. Solder to the pads on the back of the LED strip. Check to make sure you are on the input side of the strip.
LED holder
Place the LED strip between the built-in clips inside the case. Align the LEDs to the center of the stars on the case.
Plug the soldered JST cable on QT Py into the socket cable on the LED strip.
Mount Display
Remove the protective film on the screen. Align the display to the cutouts on the standoffs, to the case-top part.
Fasten the display with M2.5mx5mm long screws.
Press fit case parts
Align the snap fit parts on the top-case part to the case.
Optional top screws can be fastened to the top of the case with three M2.5x5mm screws.
