The Community Games carousel on the MakeCode Arcade homepage is a great place to find fun, new games to play and study for game development tips! If you've got a game you'd like to submit for consideration, here's how to do it.

Forum Share

The first thing to do is write a New Topic post on the MakeCode Forum. In this post, write a brief description of your game and include a link to the game.

To get the link, click on the Share button at the top of MakeCode Arcade. In the popup you can name the game and then click Publish Project.

In the next popup, copy the URL to paste into your forum post.

UPDATE: You can now also click the icon in the Share Project dialog indicated in the image above to create the Forum post!

You should also include a screenshot of your game in the submission post. One way to do this is by including the .png "cartridge" for your game that has a clear screenshot of the game embedded in it.

To do this, you'll click the Save button in the MakeCode Arcade editor while your game is paused. This generates the .png game cartridge and screenshot, and saves the .png to your computer.

Here's what your forum post will look like:

Then, click Create Topic and you're done! The community moderators will have a look, and some games are chosen to be included on the home page Community Games carousel!

The Forum is also a great place to ask questions, help other out with their games, and get feedback!
