Build an enclosure for displays powered by the Adafruit Qualia ESP32-S3.

The 3D printed mounts hold the Qualia board in place with access to the USB port and built in buttons!

Designs for additional displays will be included as they are completed, stay tuned for more!

4" Round Display

This massive 4" diagonal-sized display has 720x720 16-bit full-color pixels! The board mounts to a printed frame that press fits inside the case.

3.4 Touch Display 

The 3.4" square display has 480x48018-bit full-color pixels and is an IPS display, so the color looks great up to 80 degrees off-axis in any direction

Flexible Buttons

Use flexible material to make the buttons accessible.

Parts List

STL files for 3D printing are oriented to print "as-is" on FDM style machines. Parts are designed to 3D print without any support material. Original design source may be downloaded using the links below.

Slice with Settings for PLA material 

The parts were sliced using CURA using the slice settings below.

• PLA filament 200c extruder
• 0.2 layer height
• 10% gyroid infill
• 60mm/s print speed
• 60c heated bed

Mount the Qualia Board

Peel the protective film off of the display.

Use M2.5 x 5mm screws to fasten the board to the printed frame part.

Flip the frame to the back of the display.

Fit Frame

Align the ribbon cable on the display to the channel inside the printed case.

The printed frame press fits into the case.

Press Fit Lid

Align the USB port cutout on the lid to the cutout on the case.

Snap Fit Lid

Attach the lid by press fitting the channel on the case to the nubs on the lid.

Mount Qualia to frame

Peel the protective film off of the display.

Use M2.5 x 5mm screws to fasten the board to the printed frame part.

Flip the frame to the back of the display.

Fit the Flexible Buttons

Align the flexible buttons to the three cutouts on the case.

Place Display

Carefully slide the display between the nubs inside the case.

Gently press the frame over the nubs inside the case.

Align the Buttons

Hold the Qualia board from the sides to gently align the buttons to the printed buttons.

Attach the Lid

Align the snaps inside the case to lid and press fit into place.
