Pixelfed is a decentralized photo sharing social media system. It supports the Fediverse protocols, so users and posts can interact with other Fediverse services like Mastodon. This project for the Adafruit Fruit Jam downloads images of cats or any other hashtags you search for from Pixelfed.social, the largest Pixelfed instance, and displays them via the HSTX/DVI output port on the Fruit Jam.
