The WiPy comes with MicroPython firmware preloaded out of the box.  If you'd like to upgrade to the latest firmware be sure to follow the official instructions.  At a high level the steps are:

• Connect to the WiPy board's wireless access point.  See the getting started instructions for how to connect to the board.
• Download the latest WiPy firmware file.
• Use a FTP client (like Filezilla but note these special FileZilla configuration instructions) to upload the firmware file to the board.
