# iOS App Development Using Cordova

## Overview

This tutorial will take you through the steps necessary to get started with using [Apache Cordova](https://cordova.apache.org/) to write iOS applications. The benefit of using Cordova is that you do not have to learn Objective-C or Swift to write an app. If you can write HTML and Javascript, you can build a native iOS app with Cordova!

We are going to make a very simple weather application for our first project. It will use data from [openweathermap.org ](http://openweathermap.org/)and display it on the screen with an icon. Let's get started.
