Let's begin by gathering our parts:

Make sure you're using the BLUE LED and not the IR LED.

10mm Blue LED

560 Ohm Resistor

Colors: Green > Blue > Brown

 

If you'd like to order more resistors from the Adafruit shop click here! (they are 470ohm but they'll be fine)
